Watering Restrictions

Watering Restrictions in Effect May 15, 2013

As summer approaches and temperatures rise, water usage increases dramatically.

The Town of Wembley supports and encourages water conservation initiatives and efficient use of water.

In accordance to By-Law #639 of the Town of Wembley, water restrictios will be in effect of May 15, 2013.  In an effort to conserve this valuable resource, we are requesting that all of our residents voluntarily participate in odd and even watering practices based on your civic address.

Odd numbered houses:   Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday
Even numbered houses:   Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Watering may only be done during the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

All residents are prohibited from wasting water when water rationing is in effect.

Flowerbeds and vegetable gardens may be watered by hand, at any time, using a watering can or a hose with a nozzle with a trigger shutt-off to restrict water flow.

Children's water toys may be used for recreational purposes as long as the children are present during use.
