Improper Dumping into Town Sewage System
- August, 2001, the Town brought the concern to homeowners' in a specific area of Wembley
- An individual or individuals serviced by Lift Station #2 has been depositing industrial absorbent pads, cloth rags and other materials into the sewage system. These items get caught in the lift station pumps and cause major damage and costly repairs.
- These items are being deposited into the sewage system on a regular basis.
- If both pumps on the lift station are damaged by these materials and are unable to work properly, sewage would back up into the residences that it services.
- Letter being distributed to all property owners and request made to forward to tenants if property being rented.
