Fall Cleanup
FALL CLEANUP - SEPTEMBER 11 2010
Commencing with pickup at 10:00 am, similar to the Spring cleanup with the collector picking up refuse in front of your residence.
All small garbage is to be contained in bags, boxes or garbage cans. Larger Items may be set out.
No Wood products will be picked up. Appointments to take your tree prunings, old wood and untreated lumber to the burn pile may be made by calling the Town Office.
Large Appliances, mattresses, etc. may be put on the curb, but will not be picked up until Monday. If you have a fridge, freezer or anything containing Freon, a $30.00/item fee must be paid at the Town Office prior to closing on September 10th. (This is the cost of taking these items at the landfill.)
TVs, computers & electronics are to be kept separate (and will be picked up on the Monday) as these can no longer go into the garbage pit. There are "e-waste" facilities at the Regional Landfill.
Absolutely no vehicle parts, car bodies, batteries, propane tanks or toxic chemicals will be accepted.
Please dispose of animal and yard waste by hauling it to the grass pile northeast of the Shell station. Empty the bags and take them away.
Backyard Fire-Pits are to be used for burning wood products only - not garbage.
