WEMBLEY PHOTO CONTEST 2009

 

Are you a budding photographer? Here’s your chance to win prizes!

 

 

ELIGIBILITY

The photo contest is open to all amateur photographers. Entries are not limited to pictures taken within the 2009 Calendar year, but all photographs must reflect your view of Wembley. This could reflect people, places or things but photographs must be taken within the boundaries of the Town of Wembley. The entrant must have taken all photos entered.

 

 

CATEGORIES

(At least 10 entrants are needed for each category for prizes to be awarded.)

Junior 18 years of age and under

First place winner $200.00

Second place winner $100.00

 

Adult 19 years of age and older

First place winner $200.00

Second place winner $100.00

 

 

ENTRIES & IDENTIFICATION

There is a limit of four photographs per photographer. Each photo must have a completed entry form for each entry identifying contact information of name, address, phone number, as well as the entrant age group and the location of the photograph was taken. Entry forms may be picked up at the Wembley Town Office . Entries may be mailed or hand delivered to:

The deadline for entries is 4:00 pm January 8, 2010.

 

FORMAT

Prints may be black and white or colour. Digital entries may be submitted as jpeg files burned onto a labeled CD. Digital files should be at least 1600 pixels wide for a horizontal image or 1600 pixels tall for a vertical image. Printed photographs should not exceed dimensions of 8 x 10 or 10 x 8, and negatives must be available for reproduction. Photos may not be altered or enhanced digitally in any way other than cropping.

 

 

JUDGING CRITERIA

Entries will be judged by a selected committee and prizes will be awarded by February 15, 2010. Criteria will be portrayal of the town, artistic merit, and technical quality.

 

 

All entries for submitted for judging will become the property of the Town of Wembley. The Town of Wembley reserves the non-exclusive right to publish or use any entry in Town of Wembley promotional material. Entries will not be returned.
