MINUTES OF THE ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING
of the Town of Wembley, in the Province of Alberta
held in the Wembley Town Office
this 28th day of September 2009.
COUNCIL PRESENT Mayor Smith, Councillors: Halladay, Holler, Landry, Peterson, Querin and Trudel.
REGRETS Councillor Peterson
OTHERS PRESENT Lori Parker, CAO.
CALL-TO-ORDER Mayor Smith called the meeting to order at 6:50 p.m.
DEPUTY MAYOR MOTION # 2009-204 Motion by Councillor Halladay that Councillor Colleen Holler be appointed Deputy Mayor for the Town of Wembley for a term of six months; and that signing authority shall be Mayor Smith or Deputy Mayor Holler plus the CAO or the Assistant Administrator. Carried.
DEPUTY MAYOR Councillor Holler took the Oath of Office which

MEETING TIMES MOTION # 2009-205 Councillor Querin moved that
AND DATES the meetings remain the second and fourth Mondays of each month commencing at 7:00 p.m; and that only one meeting be held in December being the second Monday of the month. Carried.
REMUNERATION MOTION # 2009-206 Councillor Landry moved that
AND MILEAGE the remuneration and mileage for members of Council be as follows:
Honorariums - Mayor $500.00, Councillors $200.00
Meeting fees - Regular Council Meetings $75.00
Special Council Meetings $50.00
Committee Meetings - Up to 2 hours $30.00
2 to 5 hours $50.00, over 5 hours $100.00
Travel - 53 cents per kilometer
Subsistence - Breakfast $10.00, Lunch $15.00,
Supper $25.00
Carried.
BANKING MOTION # 2009-207 Moved by Councillor Querin that the Town continue to use the Treasury Branch, 100th Avenue, Grande Prairie for banking with deposits being made at the Wembley Agency. Carried.
