INFORMATION ON WEMBLEY COUNCIL BY-ELECTIONS 2022

Notice of Election
Local Authorities Election Act (Sections 12, 35, 46, 53)

 

LOCAL JURISDICTION: WEMBLEY, PROVINCE OF ALBERTA

 Notice is hereby given:

A.            That an election will be held for the filling of 6 Council for the Town of Wembley. You will be asked to select ONE (1) member for Council. There are 10 (TEN) Candidates.          

Voting will take place on the 28th day of February 2023, between the hours of 10:00 am and 8:00 pm.

Voting stations will be located at: PJC Dinosaur Museum, 9301 112 Avenue, Wembley AB T0H 3S0

 To vote, you must produce identification for inspection. You must reside in the Town of Wembley and be a Canadian citizen. The identification must be one or more of:  you may provide one piece of Government-issued, photo ID, including your full name, physical address, and photo. Otherwise, you need to show two pieces of ID, both containing your full name, and with one showing your current physical address. 

As required by section 53 of the Local Authorities Election Act.

To Vote for Town of Wembley Council you must live in Town limits. Your primary residence must be in Wembley. 

Falsifying your place of residence, you may be subject to fines.
